We would love to welcome you to the Hope Centre. We are a friendly church based in Ragworth, one of Stockton’s established housing estates.
Come and join us on Sunday evening, at our Café Church, where you will discover a welcoming and diverse group of people. We endeavour to ensure that every individual matters, with a big vision to bless people with care, compassion and with the love of Christ.
If you are a follower of Jesus already you are very welcome. If you are curious to learn more about what it means to be a follower Jesus Christ, or just need someone to talk to, you are especially welcome!
The Café Church is a relaxed, informal and accessible to all people, regardless of age or background. The meeting starts at 4.00pm and concludes at 5.00pm after which food is available.

The Hope Centre in Stockton is a well-established church that is beginning to experience a new lease of life. As a result, we are excited at the possibilities for the future. We believe that the partnership between Stockton Hope Centre, and One Life Church, Middlesbrough is going to be very productive and exciting one. We share the same vision, aims, objectives and values and have a longing to see people impacted by the love of God in Teesside.
Our Sunday evening service commences at 4.00pm and is run in a Café Church style, with a non-religious and relaxed feel. The service last for one hour, concluding at 5.00pm, after which food is provided for anyone and everyone to enjoy.
We express our praise and worship to God, with a mix of modern and more traditional songs and encourage participation from everyone. Messages are short, relevant to everyday life and encouraging, yet not without genuine substance.
We seek to teach, understand and live out the whole message if the Bible, showing it to be good news – a timeless message of hope for everyone regardless of age or circumstance. Our church is open to all those searching for truth, comfort, compassion, love and assurance in the uncertain times in which we live.
Our venue is The Hope Centre, Ragworth Lane, Stockton-on-Tees, TS19 9AD
The centre has various activities taking place in the mid-week, including a Craft Club, Luncheon Club, Friendship Groups, Bible Study Class and Kids Cub.
We are an evangelical church with a Pentecostal and charismatic flavour and expression.

Here are some of our core values
Worship. A church is not just a building. It is where people have a safe place to worship, to learn about God, to share fellowship and encourage one another. Worship is a distinctive lifestyle that reflects God’s heart of love, and it is an attitude that influences our thoughts and actions.
Service. We all have a gift! We encourage people to discover their gifts and use them – to find purpose and satisfaction in helping others. As followers of Christ, we have a mandate to love God and love others, resulting in practical care and concern for our fellow believers and our neighbours.
Community. Community is about taking time to be together and building lasting relationships; our church strives to be a safe place where people are accepted and cared for. You will discover that in addition to our regular meetings, One Life Church enjoys being family through fun social activities.
Mission. The main reason that the church exists is to proclaim the good news of the gospel – that Jesus died for us and by trusting in Him anyone can know the forgiveness of sins, experience eternal life and know Jesus as Lord and Saviour. All people matter to God and therefore you matter to us!
Practical objectives: As our church grows, it is our long-term vision is to offer support in specific areas of need in our local community. We are meeting some of these needs already, some are planned for a later time:
- Children and youth activities
- Senior citizens ministry
- Marriage & family provision
- Helping the poor and needy
- Social action
- Prayer for the sick and hurting
